KRR
Hi, I'm the KRR Law Associates drafting assistant. Fill in the case details above, then tell me briefly what the document needs to say — for example, "Vishnu owes me ₹2,00,000 for unpaid rent since June 2026, I want to send a legal notice demanding payment within 15 days." I'll draft it for you.

A Free Legal Drafting Tool for Law Students and New Advocates

Drafting your first bail application, legal notice, or plaint can be daunting — the format matters as much as the content, and getting the cause title, docket structure, or verification clause wrong can mean a document is rejected or sent back. This tool is built specifically to help law students, young advocates, and legal research scholars in India understand what a properly formatted legal draft actually looks like, and to get a working first draft in seconds rather than starting from a blank page.

Draft Bundles for Every Case Type, Free to Download — With an Automated Docket

Every draft generated here can be downloaded as a Word document and edited freely — there's no cost, no login, and no limit on how many times you use it. Rather than one-off templates, drafts are organized into bundles by case type, so related documents (a petition and its supporting affidavit, for instance) stay consistent. Alongside the main draft, the tool automatically assembles the accompanying docket — Docket Cover, Index, Memo of Parties, Memo of Appearance, List of Documents, Annexure Index and Process Fee Sheet — pre-filled from the same case details, in one download. Categories currently available:

  • Criminal: Legal Notice, Bail Application, Cheque Bounce Complaint (Section 138 NI Act), Representation for FIR Registration, Bank Account De-freeze Petition (Section 497/503 BNSS), plus Regular/Anticipatory/Default Bail, Quashing, Private Complaint, Discharge, Criminal Appeal & Revision
  • Civil & Family: Plaint for Recovery of Money, Written Statement, Mutual Consent Divorce Petition, General Affidavit, Legal Heir Certificate Application, plus the full range of Civil Suits, Applications/IAs, Affidavits, Original Petitions, Family & Matrimonial matters, and Execution
  • Consumer & Commercial: Consumer Complaint (District Commission), Rental/Lease Agreement, Partnership Deed, Non-Disclosure Agreement, Gift Deed, Commercial Suits, and Arbitration (Sections 9, 11, 34, 37)
  • Constitutional & Supreme Court: Writ Petitions (Mandamus, Certiorari, Prohibition, Habeas Corpus, Quo Warranto, PIL), SLPs, Civil/Criminal Appeals, Review & Curative Petitions
  • General & Authorisation: Vakalatnama, Power of Attorney, RTI Application, and the full set of Court Forms/Docket documents

We add new templates regularly based on what visitors are drafting most — if there's a format you need that isn't here yet, message us on WhatsApp and we'll consider adding it.

How Cause Titles & Docket Numbers Work

Every court-filed document in India follows a standard cause title structure: the court's name, the case type and docket number (e.g. "Crl.M.P. No. 123 of 2026"), the parties named as Petitioner/Applicant versus Respondent, and the document's title. This tool assembles that structure automatically from the fields you fill in, so you can see the correct format even if you don't have the final docket number yet — just leave it blank and a placeholder will show where it goes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this tool actually free?

Yes — completely free, with no sign-up required. Generate as many drafts as you need and download them as Word documents at no cost.

Can I use these drafts directly in court?

These are starting-point drafts assembled from standard formats — always have a licensed advocate review and finalise any document before filing or signing it. Court rules, local practice, and case-specific facts can all affect what a final document should say.

Is this powered by AI like ChatGPT or Claude?

Yes, partially — each visitor gets up to 5 AI-drafted documents per day, where the main pleading is composed by a real language model from the facts you describe, in the same formal indirect-speech style an advocate's office uses. Beyond that daily allowance (or if AI drafting is briefly unavailable), the tool automatically falls back to its structured template library instead, so you always get a complete draft either way. The automated docket bundle (Index, Memo of Parties, etc.) is always generated the same reliable, deterministic way regardless of which mode drafted the main document.

Who is this tool for?

Law students preparing moot court or internship drafts, young advocates setting up independent practice, legal research scholars who need to see standard formats quickly, and members of the public who want to understand what a document should look like before consulting an advocate.
